Conversations in some Teams empty for some users

Some of my users have an issue with the conversations in some teams since April 26th. The conversations in some teams are empty, while other members of that same team can see the conversations. What can cause this issue and how can i fix this?

I have actually see also this in a single Team for now...funny thing is that I don't see conversations in one laptop, but I see them on another one

@Ronald MeerI had the same issue this Morning, I launched my Desktop  client and some chat histories where totally gone. Files etc where still there, so I checked the online version and I could see that the chat histories where all there. I will also note that on Boot up this AM, I got a blue screen with an unhappy face. 

 

I tired logging on and off, this did not work. So I uninstalled teams and reinstalled and all history is now back. I can only assume that a local cache of the chat had become corrupt perhaps. 

 

My advise is check the online version, ensure chat histories are still there, then as I did un-install and re-install. Quickest remedy to be honest. No ideal, but at least the information was not gone.

As mentioned, please do a full logout of the desktop client and log back in!

Starting April 26, the Edge browser Team Channel conversations did not show.  The Edge browser Team CHATS and ACTIVITY worked. 

At the same time, the Desktop app and the Chrome browser worked.

@adam deltinger   I've created ticket with MS yesterday. After some back and forth it was finally acknowledged that it's a backend issue that is been worked on. I haven't been provided with an ETA for a fix or a way to track progress, but was promised a notification on resolution.
 
In the meantime, following a script to clear the cache. Only found a PowerShell script to do so, but needed a CMD, so I've created one (tested on Win 10)... you could put it on a shared location and provide users with a shortcut so they can clear the cache themselves.

Yes, I’ve been given information from MS this is known and being worked upon too!

Same issue occurred again this morning. I used the cache clear in this link, very useful. cheers :)

How would I run this? I am a Power-Shell novice - I know enough to be dangerous but thats about it.

 

Is this run from a command prompt or a different way?

This is just a simple .bat script!
Copy the script to notepad and rename it to whatever.bat ( make sure the file extention is .bat)
Click it to make it run!
