I have a SharePoint Site 'Marketing' that made "groupify" with the group Marketing that have 10 persons as members

I then can create a new Team "Marketing" by choosing to create it using a existing group - so the SharePoint site are "Attached" to that Team "Marketing" - so far so good -

However in Team I don't see the 10 members under team settings ->> members

Shouldn't the members of the group 'Marketing' be visible there under Team members? - or do I have to manually add them to the Team?   Will the have access to the team even though they aren't listed in Team members

No the team uses the group for membership also, so it’s enough for them to be members in the group! When did you create the team? The synchronization of the group membership to teams can take up to 24 hours sometimes! But they should be there sooner or later :)

Hi Adam

Thanks for your reply

So each one will appear under members within 24 hours? - or do I as an owner have to add them individually?

Solution
You don’t have to add them to the team also! Teams uses the underlaying group for the teams memberships! Basically it’s works by adding someone to the group - and it will replicate to teams! But it will, like in your case take some time! You can also next time add a user from the teams app! It will then add the member to the group!
The general rule is: add the users in the app that they will use! In your case there was already a group with member so that’s fine, but next time add the member via teams and it will work instantly from teams
