Hi there, since today i have problems when opening an Office file directly in Teams. I get the Information that the file doesnt exist or i dont have the right permissions to open this file. I've changed nothing in the Background since yesterday an it only happens in the Desktop App of Teams. In the SharePoint library everything works fine. Any idea what to do? Thx a lot!
So the web version works ok? If so, probably a cache issue, they really need to add a button to clear it, but you can try quitting Teams (Right click in systray and choose quit) then deleteing the contents in the c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\microsoft\teams folder to clear out cache. Start it up and should be good. if not could be a bug with a new version and might need to send in a ticket.
Any special characters in the file or folder name? There is a known, bug most likely introduced by the recent change in file viewing to OneDrive/SharePoint, that causes what you describe. We see the same with Scandinavian letters like æøå. View won’t work but edit will. If so the fix is on the way to preview tenants.
