Bring your own wiki to Teams?

One of Teams weakest features is its wiki.   I've searched through the Office365 Roadmap, and of all the Teams issues on the roadmap, not one has anything to do with improving the wiki.  On the other hand, having a good wiki is one feature that I think would most help my team collaborate on shared content.

Given all of the MS tools that are opening up with "Bring Your Own ...", is there any chance Teams will open up a "Bring Your Own Wiki"?

Agree, MS is quite slow fixing the Wiki issues and shortcomings!

What do you mean really with BYOW?

A lot of Tech Community users I know use OneNote instead of the Wiki due to said issues. You may also want to consider a third party app from the Teams store. You could also link a wiki from outside and add is as a webpage Tab.

Some are being worked on so we should see improvements in the future.

There are a remarkable number of wiki solutions in the space.  I presume there are many companies with a wiki already in place who would prefer to leverage the wiki they have. Also that there are many companies wanting a wiki who would prefer to select one they consider 'best of breed'.  Whichever way it works out, BYOW would be a way for Teams to bring, if not a low-level integration, at least a more integrated user experience between Teams and some external wiki.

MS doesn't seem to think their wiki is a winning discriminator on the Teams roadmap, so allowing customers to plug into MediaWiki, or Confluence or Jive shouldn't be a problem.  It might be a bit of a selling point.

There are a lot of external apps you can connect to Teams including Confluence...Third party developers might build their own integrations as well as Microsoft
