App policies - how long until in effect?

Deleted
Not applicable

Yesterday I was happy to see that besides the already existing option to create app setup policies the new permission polcies option has appeared in our Teams admin center:

I've created a test policy for both but today, almost 24hrs later I was not able to see the changes with my test user.

So I wanted to ask you how long it takes for you until the policies are in effect.

Thanks.

Hi @Deleted

Have you tried it with Powershell after creating the policy in the TAC? See article

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/MicrosoftTeams/teams-app-setup-policies
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/skype/grant-csteamsappsetuppolicy?view=skype-ps

It would be using both the Grant-CsTeamsAppSetupPolicy and Grant-CsTeamsAppPermissionPolicy with the powershell reference in the first article.

We have previously seen things take 24 - 48 hours if implemented via the TAC. Creation of Teams springs to mind.

Let me know how you get on.

Best, Chris

Hi @Christopher Hoard, thanks for your help. I executed those commands. Let's see how long it takes to apply them. I noticed that for one user a app setup policy that was applied about 30 hours ago via the TAC became effective but not for others. I think we can stop here.

Thanks.

Hi @Deleted,

Just checking in - did those policies apply with Powershell?
