Hi! will it be possible to upload / add a attachment file directly to a task via Teams / Planner interface? Now its only possible to link to an existing file?

I'm not sure If I'm following you...you can currently add attachments to Planner Tasks and also when working on Teams App

Hi! One can only Add a link to a file via the interface in Teams. Not choose and upload a file from e.g. your computer / teams files / etc.

It would be nice to be able to do this via the Teams / Planner interface instead of just adding a link to a file

Same  issue here. Is this added to uservoice and if so, is it filed under Teams or Planner?

Hi, is there any update on this?  The issue is still there.

There's a Uservoice entry on this issue here: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/33575350-allow-direct-file-att...

At the moment, there are only 18 votes. Maybe there's a different submission to Uservoice that I haven't found.

In the meantime, opening Planner's webapp has been our workaround to upload files directly to a task. It follows this guide: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/attach-files-photos-or-links-to-a-task-52c688e1-aeb0-4b49-8...

The major downside to this method for us is that the document uploads to the root directory of the SharePoint Document Library, instead of the Team's Channel that the Plan lives in. Bummer.
