This is the second year using Teams as a K-12 School District in PA. I am the Educational Technology Specialist for our district and a lot of questions from teachers are popping up and I was wondering if any of you in the community can help us. Teachers want to know if they can roll over the class they have and all of the assignments into the next school year. Do they have to recreate the class, and all of the assignments? Could they use the same class and assignments, remove the students from last year and then add the new upcoming students?
Maybe there is something in Teams we don't know so if anyone out there can help we would greatly appreciate it.
That said, you could create a new team based on an existing team and choose to copy over channels, tabs, settings, apps and/or members. Any files must be moved manually and you will not be able to move conversations.
When creating an assignment you can choose to create from existing, choose the old team, pick an assignment from the list and assign it to students in the new team.
