Today we are pleased to announce the eagerly anticipated update to Microsoft Stream which includes a rich set of IT admin capabilities for managing your company’s video content. Ever since we launched, we were aware that IT admins play a key role in an organization and this is our first step in realizing this capability.

These experiences are a direct result of the feedback you all have provided us as you use Microsoft Stream and that helped us guide our designs. In this release, we focus on the 4 core admin experiences:

Get Started

If you are a Stream Admin you can go to https://web.microsoftstream.com/admin and try out the core experiences.

If you are not a Stream Admin yet and you think you should be one, contact your Global Tenant Admin so they can make you one.

Until next time!

It would be great to be able to have a global admin be able to manage Stream without having to have a license.   Our global admins are only used for administration and only have a license for Azure AD P1.  I'm not sure if this is possible today but it didn't appear to be the case.  To get around this, I signed up for the trial which gave me admin access.  I then assigned a couple of normal users as admins.  But when my trial is up, I won't be able to help them unless I purchase a license.  Is this correct?  Thank you.
