Hi all,

Does internationalization work on search terms? By which I mean: if you search for “car” in English, will it automatically search for “auto” in Dutch/German as well? Same question for other language processing steps such as stemming, strange character trimming, html tags extraction, ...

Thanks in advance!

Hi Klaas!

The answer is yes and not. Microsoft Search in Bing does not currently automatically make the translation. However, in order to create the experience I think you're looking for, you can use variations in Q&A and Bookmarks to make this happen. This will allow localized keywords and questions to be surfaced. Please let me know if you'd like specific details on how to do this...it's really easy, just can be a bit time-consuming if you want to really dive deep on it!

Cheers,

-Wendy
