We are excited to announce the launch of our new OneDrive technical content pages on docs.microsoft.com. This new site will now be your home for OneDrive documentation for IT professionals, end users and developers.

Besides a cleaner and faster experience, we have made several other key changes when moving from TechNet that we feel you will like.

The content is now broken down into four clear areas:

  • Plan, Deploy and Manage OneDrive
  • OneDrive Hybrid Deployment
  • End User Training and Resources
  • Developer Resource

Within these areas we provide step by step guidance, videos, FAQ’s, quick start guides, and even end user content to  help users get up to speed quickly. The deployment guides are downloadable, so you can use them in off line situations or mark them up with your own notes. Finally, we have made it easy to search and navigate for the information you are looking for.

Let’s take a deeper look at the new features and functionality:

We also provide free tools to help like the SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT) to easily migrate files from network file shares or on-premises SharePoint sites to OneDrive or SharePoint in Office 365.  Designed to be used for migrations ranging from the smallest set of files to a large scale enterprise migration, the SharePoint Migration Tool will let you bring your information to the cloud and take advantage of the latest collaboration, intelligence, and security solutions with Office 365.

Finally, if you need some expert help migrating from file shares or another file sync and share product, our FastTrack benefits are available for all Microsoft 365 customers with eligible seats.  In addition, our FastTrack Specialists will work with you to assess, remediate, enable, and drive usage of those services. These specialists also provide migration guidance.

If you choose to use FastTrack to migrate your data, we provide guidance to enable both OneDrive and the source environment for migration. Depending on the source, we may perform various Enable steps. We can also help you with some activities by using a combination of tools, documentation, and guidance, and by performing configuration tasks where applicable and feasible.

Rolling out OneDrive is great but getting your end users to use it is another. Helping your end users to understand the benefits of OneDrive is key. We also know that end users learn differently so we have quick start guides, videos, and step by step training for Mac, Windows, iOS and Android.

The OneDrive developer platform provides APIs, components, and tools to connect your application to files and content across Office 365. In addition, the OneDrive developer platform allows your solution to work with files across the Office 365 ecosystem while writing the same code to enable solutions for consumers to enterprise customers. OneDrive APIs are a part of the Microsoft Graph, a common API for Microsoft service.
