Intune vs Microsoft Intune (Azure Portal)

Brass Contributor

Hi all,

I just wanted to ask if there's a reason why Intune is doubled up in the Azure Portal as an option?  As far as I can tell they are both the same and both go to the same Intune console.

What I mean is - if I log into portal.azure.com -> All Services.   Under "Monitoring and Management" I can see "Intune".  If I scroll all the way down to the bottom of the available services, under "Other" I can see "Microsoft Intune".

I just noticed this when starring a bunch of favourites.   If this is by design, that's cool.  Just thought maybe it's a double up someone hasn't picked up.

Hi Noel,

I checked with two tenants I have access to and it looks like it's by design. Within both tenants I see the same as you. And i can confirm that both links rederict you to the same location within the Azure Portal. The only difference is that Microsoft Intune opens in a new Tab/Window.
