Intune retire IOS device does not remove OneNote or PowerApps data

Copper Contributor

After retiring an IOS device in Intune the device still has PowerApps installed with access to the data. It also has OneNote data still on the device.  It is not syncing new data but the existing notebook content is still available on the retired IOS device. Other apps like Outlook and OneDrive data is removed.

Is there a separate process for removing the OneNote and PowerApps data from the retired device?

Hi Ed, company data should indeed be removed with managed apps when devices are retired. It sounds as though the PowerApps and OneNote were not installed from Intune Company Portal, but rather directly from the App Store. In this case, the app itself may not be managed and the company data would only be subject to your app protection policies. I would suggest checking the app protection polices for these specific apps to ensure they are configured and applied to the appropriate end-user. Best of luck!
