Hi there!
We have an Office 365 E3 environment. When I access Azure AD for Office 365, I notice that there is now an option to use Intune....we did not purchase Intune, so I wonder why this showed up. It does not look like a trial version. From what I read, there are 2 versions of Intune - Intune that comes with E5 licenses, and Intune that comes with EMS + security.
Has anyone used this Intune in Azure AD for Office 365? Does it work the same as Intune with E5 and Intune with EMS + security?
Thank you.

Hi Emy
A very small subset of Intune MDM functionality is included with Office 365 plans with mailboxes.
Two useful pages to look at are https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Capabilities-of-built-in-Mobile-Device-Management-for-Offic... and https://support.office.com/en-us/article/choose-between-mdm-for-office-365-and-microsoft-intune-c93d... . They should help to clarify what you are seeing and what you can do with the Office MDM capabilities.
