Colleges, universities, and grade schools have seen tremendous benefits in using Yammer to accelerate real world learning. We've seen many academic institutions leverage Yammer to connect teachers, students, alumni and recruits in learning that supports student growth and application. Instructors are using Yammer to collaborate with one another to design curricula and help students build 21st century digital skills. In this talk, you'll learn ways to maximize your use of Yammer in an academic space.
"When students use Yammer to connect and build relationships, whether it be in their own team or with a colleague on the other side of the world, it leads to greater knowledge sharing, innovation and ultimately a return on investment. In this case, that ROI is better performing students."
Yes these were quite stunning results and confirm our perceived hierarchy of Personas -> Engagers, Catalysts, Responders, Broadcasters and Observers better than any of our own research! I think this will have large impacts on both students and educators. What future employer wouldn't be excited by having their 'A' grade new hire come with 'A' grade collaboration skills as well. And an educator who is comfortable in the knowledge that the students that she has assessed as the 'best' are indeed the 'best' workplace ready as well.
