We recently updated from Excel 2013 to Excel 2016. All of my old Power queries were made using the latest version of power query but now since the upgrade to Excel 2016, I cannot get any of those queries to work. I keep getting the following error message.
Expression.Error: Option 'HierarchicalNavigation' is not a valid Odbc.DataSource option. Valid options are: SqlCapabilities.
Is there any way of solving this?

Hi David,
If you go into the Power Query Editor and click on each of the applied steps down the right hand side can you send us a screenshot of whichever step causes the error ( the screenshot needs to show the formula bar)
Thanks
Wyn

Hi Wyn,
Thanks for the reply. I have just this minute solved the problem.
There were around 50 Windows updates that had not been installed after our upgrade. I installed them and now power query is working fine.
