Hello
Just wondering if there is a better way to do this.
I have built a form in Excel for my users to input data.
The data saves to a sheet in their workbook that is open when the form is in use. It automatically saves the Excel workbook with each form entry.
I have set up a Power Query in another Excel workbook to suck in the data for analysis (along with the form data of other users). I have used the power query from folder option.
The data wont import properly I get a "data source error" relating to the file that is open (possibly a ~ temporary version of the file).
Any ideas??

Hi Coralie,
Have you tried filtering out temporary copies of opened files (which start with "~$") right after pulling them from folder but before combining files? You can use Text Filters-->Does Not Begin With-->"~$" in the file name column.
