Mailbox Type clarification

Brass Contributor

Hi all.

Can someone please clarify something for me.  When looking at the mailbox try for users in O365 I can see 1 or 2 have a mailbox type of ' User ( Archive ) '....  Can someone explain what this indicates as one of them has advised he is having issues receiving voicemail within Teams and was wondering if this may be the issue.

Hi @BenRooke

User (Archive) means that the in place archive is activated on that mailbox. If you select the mailbox in the Exchange Admin Centre then on the right hand box if you scroll halfway down you can see if the archive is turned off or off.

Hope that helps answer your question
