Optimizing Storage for Exchange Server 2003 paper is out

As Chris mentioned on his blog - we have a new paper out that talks about Optimizing Storage for Exchange Server 2003.

Definitely a good read that talks about where Exchange generates most IO, what the best practices are for placing Exchange files on different types of storage and, very importantly, how storage capacity and performance efficiency do not always have to go hand in hand. Seeing that Exchange is very IO intensive, this is a very important point that can cause a lot of performance problems for Exchange clients.

Great read, please
go here to get it.

Why can't I just download a .doc of the file? Why do I have to install something and have a start menu item created for a simple document?!

Sorry, I spoke too soon. It was a different document that did this and I assumed this one would too. This one is just a self-extracting archive.

I'm sure this is just a typo, but page 10 recommends RAID-0 for the NOS volume. Someone should update this.

Our doc team said that they have made the fix and will repost the doc in a couple of days. Thanks for catching that!

the doc mentions about moving the Content Indexing files away from the disk containing the page file.
How can we do this?
