The 2007 CRN Channel Champions Awards have been recently announced!

To us Exchange folks, the E-mail/Collaboration Software category is really interesting:

"The gap between Microsoft and its rivals in the e-mail and collaboration software space is widening. "

"Microsoft bested its competitors on every single criterion and sailed past the runners-up with a 77.8 overall rating, more than 10 points higher than IBM's 67.6 score and Novell's 64.3 finish."

Please continue reading at the source.

OK, so we are bragging a little... we are looking forward to keep working with you to make the future of Exchange Server even brighter! Thank you for your support!

Couldn't agree more!  I had the choice to accept two jobs at one point in my career.  Either an Exchange Admin or a Notes Admin.  I am glad that I choose the former rather than the latter.

Any updates on KB931832???

I've noticed from the comments that many people are having large-scale issues with this patch.

I am the IT Manager for a publicly traded comany. KRG:NYSE
Even though we are public, we are still small. We just "upgraded" to E2007 and I have discovered that I should stayed with E2003. This powershell stuff is ridiculous. Do you really think America has time to relearn all the crap it has to do via command line??? You have indeed made a mistake. I for one will be out there telling all my colleagues that E2007 is not the product they are looking for.

I could not agree more with Tony Larsen.  The powershell is nice as an addition for management, but using it as the primary method for configuration SUCKS!!!!!  And I mean sucks!

The project manager should be fired for making such a blunder!

We have clients who no longer want to upgrade to EX2007 because they don't like the sudden change in server management.  What in the hell were you folks thinking? The goal in new releases is to generate sales, NOT KILL THEM!

The GUI mmc was one of the nice features in Ex2003 because it made the IT departments job easier.  Now they have to use google to find out how to perform routine tasks since the documentation quaility is so poor.

Exchange 2007 is a major step forward in featues, but an equal step back in management.

Remember, it is called Windows, not MS-DOS.

Fix the problem.

I could not agree more. We consult all over and the install could not be more of a PITA. I mean it requires items that are not even on the DVD!! (PS, .Net). And yeah usage is to the point why not just use a BSD app? If I have to go command line I'd at least like some reliability with it. Now we just have hodge podge software that is hard to admin AND unreliable.

With only groupwise and novell to compete against, what do you expect!  Sheesh, it's like bragging you're the smartest person you know.

Maybe this year CRN will include <a href="http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2007/02/google-apps-grows-up.html">Google Apps</a> and Yahoo!'s <a href="http://blog.01.com">Zimbra</a> groupware.  Exchange needs the competition to drive innovation.
