Last year, we announced the Exchange Remote Connectivity Analyzer and usage continues to grow as people become aware of this web site. Today, we are releasing a new version which will help us reach an even wider audience... We now support 10 additional languages! Here is the list of all the languages we support:

  • Chinese (Traditional)
  • Chinese (Simplified)
  • English
  • French
  • German
  • Italian
  • Japanese
  • Korean
  • Portuguese
  • Russian
  • Spanish

To view these languages, you will need to modify the language preference in your browser. To modify the language in Internet Explorer, complete the following steps.

  1. Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
  2. Click the General tab, and then click Languages.
  3. In the Language Preference dialog box, click Add.
  4. In the Add Language dialog box, select a language from the list, and then click OK. In this example, we've added French:

  5. Click OK twice.

Now, when you visit https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com, you'll see the site in French, as shown in the following screenshot:

We hope the world wide community likes this new feature!

Tip for everyone: Tired of typing the full URL (www.testexchangeconnectivity.com) every time? Just enter exrca.com in your browser and you'll be redirected to the longer URL. :)

Known issues

The Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) tests allow you to select the Ignore trusts for SSL option. Checking this option only tells the tool to not fail if the certificate you are using is not in the list of Trusted Root Certificates. For example, this is useful if you're using a certificate from your own Windows CA. However, it will not allow the test to be completed over a non-SSL connection. If you don't have a certificate and want to test whether EAS works without SSL (over TCP port 80), this tool can't perform this validation. We will not be able to add this feature in the future. Note: Due to limitations in the RPC API, we are currently unable to ignore the certificate trust requirement for SSL for Outlook Anywhere/RPC over HTTP tests. We are looking into alternatives for future releases.

Please keep the feedback coming! We love getting email letting us know when the tool helps make you successful. The Feedback link is in the footer of each page on the site. This goes directly to Brad and me.

Here's a short 50 second video I did with my daughter talking about the tool. Enjoy!
