locked cells content updating from reference sheet

we have locked the cells with some input from reference sheet, but when i update the reference sheet cells, this locked sheet updating which is not suppose to happen

sheet1 cell A1 input value =support!A1

support sheet A1 100

Lock sheet and protect sheet

support sheet A1 value change 100 to 150

sheet1 A1 change to 150

what is the purpose of lock then?

The pupose of locking a sheet is to prevent people from making changes to either values in a cell or formulas in a cell. The calculation results of formulas are NOT affected by locking cells.
