excel formula cell colours

Copper Contributor

Hi, i'm creating a risk register using cell formulas to give the risk rating, is it possible to also use the same formula string to colour the cell based on the risk rating result. The formula I am using is

=IF(N14=0,"-",IF(N14<75,"Acceptable",IF(N14<750,"Controllable",IF(N14<7500,"Undesirable","Intolerable"))))

I would like the risk result cell to be coloured as "Acceptable" in Green. "Controllable" in Yellow. "Undesirable" in Red. "Intolerable" in Black. Any guidance would be great. - Thanks.

@jp41867 ,

You can use the conditional formatting to create the color scale. your settings will look something like in attached picture.
