corrupted excel file

 Hi, I have a corrupt excel file. my file is stored on an external hard drive and it was corrupted when the hard drive was ripped off the system (I think), can not be repaired by excel (open repair), can not be repaired by other sofware. this file is very important. Can you help me please

I would try running Recuva against that hard drive, it will likely find older copies of the file.
