PLEASE can someone help, i have a corrupt file that i must open - i am using a MAC

Have you already tried the repair function (using the dropdown of the Open button of the file, open dialog)?

There are some commercial tools that offer recovery services. But I would first try to get hold of someone with Windows Excel (and perhaps even various different versions) as those might just be able to open your file.
