Why is my formula not working?

I have select my worksheet A2 to AF999 select conditional formatting create new rule and use formula to determine which cells and input =$AC$2="Wrong information word please check"

What have I miss there are other rules in my worksheet they appear to be working be not this one

So your formula will apply conditional formatting to all cells A2:AF999 if cell AC2 contains the phrase "Wrong information word please check".

What are you aiming to do? Could you post a sample Excel file or screenshots?
