Trying to add a new workbook into my Excel Spreadsheet. The "+" is not available.

I'm trying to add a new tab (Workbook) to my spreadsheet, but the + sign is not available to click on.  Does anyone know how to work around this?

Hello @BethT,

Can you send a print screen of the bottom of your workbook? I am curious what you see.

In the meantime, you may press Shift+F11 or Alt+Shift+F1 to insert a new worksheet.

@PReagan I tried the 2 options you stated above but it still isn't adding a new workbook unfortunately.

Perhaps you have protected workbook structure, you may check in File->Info

Sergei is correct, the workbook is protected, which disables the addition of worksheets. ("Tabs" are "worksheets", whereas the entire file is a "workbook".)
