Switching between Excel and Adobe PDF

I have a program that takes data from Excel and places it into a fillable PDF.

 

Is there a way to switch between using the SendKeys function in the Adobe PDF to using it within Excel, and then back again to the PDF?

 

The reason being is I need to manipulate a cell that is halfway through the program in order to "format" it properly when it gets pasted into the PDF. Essentially work in the PDF, switch to Excel to manipulate and copy data, and then continue in PDF?

 

Any input would be appreciated!
