Renaming columns

Hey all- I'm using excel to organize a novel–which I highly recommend so far–and I want to rename my ABC headers to chapters, synopsis, that sort of thing. So far, none of the options I've found online have done the trick, and I'm suspicious I'm missing something simple. Any thoughts are appreciated.

As far as I know there isn't a way to change the column A,B,C etc headers short of using R1C1 which turns the letters into numbers.

The best way you can do achieve what you are after is to use Row 1 as your headers and put the name of each column in A1, B1, C1, etc.
