I have gone through the steps to link data from Doc A to Doc B. What I really want to do is sort that data in different ways. Can I do the sorting on different sheets and still be able to refresh in Doc B if I make changes to Doc A? Or do I have to keep the data on one sheet in Doc B in order to refresh?
Also, If I make changes in Doc B like page breaks or formatting, will it still refresh any changes made in Doc A?

So if you've used power query to pull information from one file (Doc A) into a second file (Doc B) then you can use Power Query to change it to your preferred sort order. It doesn't matter how the data is sorted on Doc A
Formatting changes to Doc A will not impact things in Doc B, however adding new columns or inserting new rows may impact your results (but these can be fixed by editing Power Query)
