Number Formatting

I am trying to change a value to represent a millions currency.  Example the number data was 1,878,455.61 and I need excel format to change it to $1.88 or $365,676.43 to $0.37. 

I am having difficulty with formatting the cell to represent the sample.

I have tried changing the number to currency and was unsuccessful.

You may apply custom number format like this (two commas at the end for millions)
