Need Help With Formulas values changing

I need some help. 

I have a build of materials in one tab, the columns Are: Item, Unit, Cost and supplier.

In Tab 2 I have Formulas that uses the Info in Tab 1, The results of these Formulas are then transferred

to Tab 3 or our Price list Tab.

 

The problem I have is that from time to time new items are added. So I Add these items and then re-sort the list in alphabetical order.  So now the info (Tab1) in the cells assigned to the formula (Tab2) changes.

The formula is still correct, but the info is not. This results in the wrong pricing in Tab3

Is it possible to stop this???

I may be able to help you with this. But need more information.

When using LOOKUP functions. You may need to create a table, or named range.

Could you include a (privacy and safe) workbook for reference?
