Move from OnPrem to Online with Excel Macro

Copper Contributor

Hi

We are about to move our Clients from Office 2016 to Office 365 and we have a MANY Excel Macros that are OLD, written Before year 2000 and they are production critical.

I remember i have read somewhere that there is a tool that can check old Excel Macros if the can work also in Online version of Excel.

Would be great to check this Before we do the upgrade of the clients.

Are there anyone who can help me in the right direction in this issue?

I appreciate all Answers:-)

VBA does not work on Excel on-line. Period.
Luckily upgrading to Office 365 does not mean you loose desktop Excel.
Depending on the license you buy Desktop Excel is part of the deal and can be installed. VBA will then continue to work as before. Whether or not individual workbooks will function depends, but given that you're coming from 2016 I would not expect too much trouble.
