IF Statement

How do I use the if function in Excel, if I select any selection from Category and get it to place the correct heading from class in the Class field.  This is vital because each category has any where from 30 - 40 sub categories.  I am creating a risk register, trying to automate this feature.

Category - Access Control, Class - Technical

Category - Audit and Accountability , Class - Technical

Category - Awareness and Training, Class - Operational

Category - Contingency Planning, Class - Operational

Category - Identification and Authentication, Class - Technical

Category - Incident Response, Class - Technical

Category - Planning, Class - Management

I don't think you need an IF formula for your particular situation.  Try a vlookup (see attached file for reference) :

Maybe can help dinamic tables. You choose filters....
