Hello,
I'd like to extract from a series (column) of Excel cells data/text which were entered as follows within each cell:
Abcdef(alt-return)
Turhdkidjgf(alt-return)
Ghjjagdub(alt-return)
oiegdjs
and have the content of each line within the cell displayed in a series of adjacent separate cells on the same line.
I do not know how to indicate to the conversion assistant that the command (alt-return) is the to be used as splitting point and I cannot use the other option (fixed width option) as the word contained have different sizes.
Is there a way to achieve this at once.
Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

the unicode of ALT+ENTER is 10. So basically you can SEARCH for this unicode in your string and split it with LEFT and RIGHT

Fastest way is to select that column, when Data->Text to Columns, on second step select Other and enter into the box Alt+0010; on third step first cell for the destination range.
The only that works for PC, for Mac it's another way to enter newline symbol, not sure by which combination.

Yah, but that's for Windows as well. Tag was "Excel on Mac"

Thank you very much. At least I could make it work once on a "guest" PC.
