I am adding columns D & E together in F. I then want to multiply F by 2 and add G for the total in H. What is the formula to input?

What do you mean under adding D & E? That's =D1+E1, or =D1&E1 in F1? And what's the final result, that's =2*F1+G1 in H1, or =2*SUM(F:F)+SUM(G:G) in H1 or something else?

You can type in H1
=SUM(D1:E1)*2+G1
