Formulas changing when copy and pasted.

Have a set of formulas that I need to paste into a totals sheet. When I do this across the cells where the info will be placed. The numbers in the formulas change. even when I try and do it one at a time it is upping the cell numbers the formula is referencing. Is there a way to place the exact same formula in each cell without it changing.  I hope this makes sense to somebody.

Either try adding $ to the cell references in your formula.. ie $A$4 rather than A4

Or rather than copy/pasting the cells, copy the text of the formula from the formula bar, and paste it back into the formula bar in the cell you want to move it to.
