I have a workbook that contains timesheet entries for employees on certain dates.  I have another workbook that contains the job the employee was scheduled to work on certain dates.  I need a lookup  formula that matches the employee ID and date and then returns the scheduled job.

I know how to use vlookup to lookup the employee and return the scheduled job but not how to incorporate the date factor

I see no scheduled jobs in your attached files. Please ensure that such jobs are indicated therein, then attach your files again.

Please refer the attached files just for the understanding purpose that how to incorporate date factor in vlookup. You may rearrange the columns accordingly.
