Find and Replace - Preview*

In trying to find some special characters in Excel, I used the Find and Replace function and selected Preview to see if it would help.  It did not and now the Preview selection remains and find does not work at all.  How do I turn it off or go back to normal functionality?

Preview appears if you choose format from another cell. If clear format it shall disappear.

I kept opening the button using the whole button and getting the format box. I see that using the drop down with the clear format works! Thanks so much!
