I am creating a scoring method for a golf tournament.  I want to compare the recorded score to par on the hole.  If the score is equal to par, I want to assign a value in another cell.  If the score is less than part, I want to assign a different value and if the score is more than par, I want to assign a different value.  For example, a score one less than par receives a value of 4; a score one more than par receives a value of 1 and a score equal to par receives a value of 2.  A score of two (2) less than par receives a value of 8.

How do I set this up?

I don't know much about golf but I tried to prepare a solution for you. Attached file shows how you could do that. You will need to adjust the formula to what you need but it should give a general understanding of how you could do it. I hope it helps.
