When opening an Excel spreadsheet I received as an attachment to an email, I get the "Name Conflict" dialogue box.  I reviewed the help information that states the issue occurs when you are trying to copy one or more worksheets to a workbook that has similar named ranges.  I am not trying to copy the worksheet, I am simply trying to open it.   How can I fix it?

@RHawley When I try to open my Excel file from my thumb drive I get a Name Conflict box

It says Old Name   _Area_0_0_0    I never named anything like that

When I looked at help for doing the New Name.... one said will not accept if started with a letter and another said will not accept if not started with a  letter    I have tried every combination I could think of.

It will not accept anything so I can not open my Excel program to do my inventory.

Help!
