I’m trying to copy a number with 16+ digits into a cell and it keeps giving me a weird 6.2936738299 result and it shortens the number when I double click. How do I stop this madness??!

Excel cannot use numbers with more than 15 digits as numbers. the only way to enter them in your cells unchanged is by first setting the cell's number format to Text. But then Excel is unable to do math with those "numbers". I seem to recall that ages ago there used to be an add-in that did allow larger precision calculations, but I don't think it is available anymore.
