Excel IF AND statements

Back story, I’m creating a table for a clothing brand and want it to automatically track the number of each size/colour that ordered.
The size/colours are manually inputted and I’m trying to create a formula to track on a counter for each size/colour.
I’m trying to create a formula to say if box A = Medium AND box B=black; then add 1 to a counter in a separate table.
Can someone help?

@Ccole99The Pivot Table might be a better solution than a formula. Here's a quick and dirty example. You'll find Pivot Table under Data on the menu across the top (at least in Excel for Mac) or on the tool bar under Insert. Give it a try and come back if you have questions.
