We are using Office 365, connecting to files with a mixture of WebDav and Web Browser.
This "locked by another user" issue seems to pop up fairly often for us, most commonly with Excel files.
I've seen a lot of discussion around locked files on SharePoint, with no real solid solutions.
If someone has a solution great, but at this stage just wondering if users accessing a file with WebDav may be exacerbating the problem. Is WebDav in itself likely to cause an issue, or perhaps Antivirus that will be default scan the files opened in WebDav maybe?
One of the files that we often have problems also has a lot of hyperlinks in it to other sheets. These links are not to load data from other sheets, they are used as reference to other sheets. Could this be part of the problem?
Any advice appreciated.
