7/5/18 Excel 2016 I save a file with the option to print gridlines it will not save correctly. It changes to print row and column headings.  I had this start yesterday on 2 different PC's.  It is happening on all new files.

It is happening on 4 different PC's. This just started yesterday. To test we created a new spreadsheet and selected under page layout, Gridlines Print. It will print correctly. We saved the file closed and reopened. The print gridlines is now unchecked and the heading print is now checked. Can someone please test this for me?

I started having the same issue yesterday.  It is occurring on all of my saved files.  I changed it to print the gridlines, unchecked print row headings, saved them, and it changed it all back again on all of my files I opened today.  I haven't tried any other computers but I use Excel all day long and it is time consuming to have to change that on every file I print.  I use MS Office 2016.

Thanks Julie, I was starting to think it was just us.
I tried to Google it but didn't find anything. Hopefully someone can help us!

Exactly. I only found you because you listed the BUILD #. I have same problem. If you select Print Gridlines, and save the file, it changes to Print Headings. If you select Print Headings and save the file, it changes to Print Gridlines. All my files are set to view both (Headings & Gridlines), but only print gridlines, not headings. Starting a few days ago, it opens with Print Headings box checked and Print Gridlines unchecked. 3 PC's. Two are Windows 7 Pro, 1 is Windows 10. I have another laptop with Build 16.0.8067.2115 and it works fine.

They stated it is a bug in Build 16.0.10228.20080 and they will be fixing it. They released this bug version 6/25/2018. Here is a list

Thanks for posting this.  I was going crazy trying to figure out what was happening to my gridlines and trying to get rid of those headings.

It is upsetting, because they just did a Build update 20104, and it still does this. They need to fix it. It is a pain.

This has been driving me nuts for a couple of weeks now.

I'm glad I someone posted that it is a build problem.

Hopefully it will get resolved soon.
