Excel 2013 - Add custom table to chart

Hello,

 

I have been having an issue. I have made a column chart showing percentage values and I want to add a table underneath the chart showing the true values to further contextualise the percentages. Although this information is shown in a way on the table, it is not part of its source data. 

Since the data I want to add do not appear directly on the chart, I can't add it. When I added a data table through the editing options in excel, the information provided just mirrors what the chart was already showing. I want the table to provide additional information, not to repeat what's already there. Is there a way to do that?

Hello,

 

You won't be able to add the table to the chart, but you can have a table sitting under the chart. You could even resize the chart area and make it transparent, resize the plot area and shift it up, so that the table "appears" to be part of the chart.
