Error: Members, tuples or sets must use the same hierarchies in the function.

Copper Contributor

I have a spreadsheet with multiple tabs all using a different tab (also in the workbook) as a data source.

For some reason, when I apply filters to the pivot tables, and go to drill down into the data a level, it give me the error:

"The query did not run or the Data Model could not be accessed. Here's the error message we got: Members, tuples or sets must use the same hierarchies in the function."

Once I release all the filters, it allows me to drill down into the information. I can't figure out what the issue is as the "hierarchy" issue isn't applicable to the data I'm trying to analyze.

Any help would be appreciated -

@CatGolez ,

That's an old issue, see, for example, discussion here https://blog.crossjoin.co.uk/2015/10/05/drillthrough-on-multiselect-now-works-in-excel-2016-and-ssas...

Without playing with data model it's hard to say how to fix.

Is this something you could help me with? Perhaps I could send you the file?
