EXCEL HELP RECOVERING TABS ON EXCEL SPREADSHEET

Hello

Need some help with a very important document that I use for my monthly budget, etc,

Not sure what exactly happened sometime around 5-01-19 but when I open Excel spreadsheet now I get a blank sheet with only 1 tab labeled sheet1.
However the document on my desktop shortcut is still the same exact name as original document which consisted of approx. 10+ tabs.

Wondering what may have happened and if I can somehow recover this extremely important document.

Sounds as if you accidentally did a save-as on an empty document. RIght-click the file on your desktop and select Properties. Hopefully there is something on the previous versions tab. If not, you will have to revert to a backup copy. Final straw: download an undelete program and let it analyse your desktop folder.
