I've been trying to solve a problem on excel; I have a data set of about 250 lengths of material, varying between 50 and 700 feet in no particular pattern, and I must find ways to go down this list and show where a roll of 2500 feet would run out somehow. Would this be a group function, or a sum function, or what would the smartest way to tackle this problem? Note that the data shouldnt be re-sorted, it has to stay in it's current order, and is subdivided already into groups, so I'm not sure if theres a way to automatically highlight the groups of 2500 or otherwise show where the groups would be on the sheet.
