Conditional formatting to show difference of +/- 3

Copper Contributor

Hello, I would like to highlight columns that contain cells with a difference of +/- 3.

For example, in B2:B6, which contain various scores out of 10 points, if there were scores of 8, 8, 9, and 6, I want to highlight the entire column.

Thank you for your help.

I am not very clear about the meaning of +/- 3 difference

From the example you gave, I have assumed that this means that the difference between maximum and minimum.  If that is correct ,  please try the following formula for conditional formatting.

=MAX(B:B)-MIN(B:B)>=3

hope it works for you !!
