Conditional formating extraction and copying

Copper Contributor

Hi!

I am a self-taught excel-user and I read and watch relevant blogposts, online conversations and youtube-clips whenever I need to solve an issue or create something in excel.

Right now I have reached a point, where my abilities do not apply. I am searching for a formula to detect whenever a certain word appears in a cell, in this case the word "opfølgning". When the word "opfølgning" appears, I want the formula to write another specific word, for example "equipment status", as well as any text written in BOLD in the cell in another cell.

I hope my description makes sense, and that someone can help me out.

Best regards MKAEIM

You may any text within another text using SEARCH() or FIND(), usual check if found or not is like =ISNUMBER(SEARCH(...)). But you can't check with formulas if text bold or not. Formulas work only with cell values, not with with cell properties colors and cells formatting. You need VBA programming for that.

Thank you for your answer Sergei!
